The Ivy Tech
Electric Vehicle Project

Ivy Tech Community College in Northwest Indiana will begin offering a formal course curriculum on Electric Vehicles (EV's) at the Emilo A. De La Garza
Campus in East Chicago, Indiana.  Applications are now being accepted for
this innovative program.

Work will begin on this 2000 Ford Ranger and students will have an
opportunity for hands-on training to learn about the benefits and savings
associated with EV conversions in Northwest Indiana.

As the price of gasoline approaches $4.00 a gallon, the incentive for
conversion to EV's is increasing.  A converted vehicle such as the
one above, will be able to operate at a cost of 2.2 cents per mile.

There are emerging opportunities for women and men interested in starting
their own small business in EV conversions. Automotive engineers and
auto mechanics wanting to become involved either as a student or
as a volunteer are cordially invited to join the Ivy Tech Electric Vehicle Project.

Join us at Ivy Tech Community College by calling (219) 392-3600.
