When I went off to college, my Mother threw away my prime collection of Playboy magazines and rare baseball cards, but for some reason she kept some old copies of The Calumet Herald. This official Hammond High School newspaper was the source of information for high school social events, football and basketball scores, interviews with teachers and quips from students.
